There is a time….

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven…”
Ecc. 3:1

The author of Ecclesiastes proclaims a time for everything, first of which, is a time to be born (v. 2). If you are not a parent, perhaps you’ve learned this lesson already: the determination of that time is entirely unconnected with parental desire for it to take place.

Our baby has decided that s/he was not only uninterested in coming “early” (although the tax break would have bee nice) or “on time” (although it would have been nice to have it all take place under last year’s insurance deductible). Rather s/he likes the idea of late (i.e. not yet!)

Having spent several years doing foster care, we learned early on that there is nothing convenient about children. Apparently the same is true for infants!

In any case, since our timing and God’s are apparently so disconnected, we would appreciate you’re prayers.
