Long Time

Wow…it’s been a long time since I last wrote…oh the beauties of new parenthood and full-time ministry. 
Today, the following verse comes to mind…
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are —yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:16-17)
Beautiful.
Jesus was tempted, resisted, and now makes it possible for us to confidently approach God’s throne even though we do not always resist…indeed often do not.
Thank God salvation rests on his resistance, not ours.
