Long Time, No Write…

I’m around, just busy. Thought I’d drop a quick note to those of you who have the blog checked automatically
Sophia had her 15 month check-up yesterday - you can check out some new pics on her blog (http://www.tenclay.org/baby).
My thesis has been treading water for the past month or so as I waited for the first draft to come back from my adviser. I just got it yesterday, in the mail, and will be working on it with hopeful submission for the upcoming Doctoral Committee meeting in May. The proposal was good enough to pass the course, but missing some of the info that the committee is looking for. I’m not exactly sure how that’s going to happen since I was already pushing past the outer-limits of lenght, but there’s a way, I’m sure.
Dunningville remains a good place to work. The people are wonderful and the community is pleasant. Our latest news is that we’ve applied to be a distribution center for Angelfood Ministries. They’re AWESOME, if you haven’t checked them out, you can do so here. We’re also beginning a mid-week worship service this week on Thursday evenings; there’s not much up on our website about it yet, but I did put up an annoying blinking note. See it at: www.dunningville.org.
Other exciting news? Well, three of us (going by the name “Team Dunningwut?”) have sent in our applications to ride Ragbrai this year. If you’ve never heard of it, Ragbrai is a week-long ride across Iowa. Cool, huh? We’ll find out if we’re in on May first. If you’re interested in checking out how I train/prepare (or don’t!) it’s available at: www.tenclay.org/ragbrai. The two coolest things up on there right now are the MapMyRide website (Check it out!) and the Cycling Performance Tips website (check that one too!) Coming soon (on the church website) may be a link to our church’s new bicycling club - a guy from our church is putting it together. Want to join? Let me know. It’s set for people of all ages and abilities (and you’re welcome whether you feel comfortable in lycra or not!)
Well, just a quick update for you. I miss many of you…where has the time gone? Anyone going to General Synod this year? I am (I’ve been given the privilege of running the General Synod Seminarian Seminar this year…can’t wait!)
Grace and Peace,
`tim

I will be at GS, for what may be the last time for a while. See you there!
