God is Kind…

Dearest Friends,

I figured I’d drop you a note to let you know that my 16 month old daughter and I were in a fairly major car accident yesterday. I hit a large patch of gravel on the way to meet my wife; we swerved, went into the ditch, rolled over, flipped a couple of times (I think 3) and landed on the roof. (For the record, I DID slow down, DID have both hands on the wheel, and was NOT talking on the phone.)

Anyhow, we took a trip to the emergency room in the ambulance and are both fine. Yep… fine. I have a TINY cut on my head, a small bruise on my right upper arm, a few little cuts on my left hand and a little bit of a scrape/bruise/thing from the seatbelt on my left shoulder. Sophia had even less — she ended up with a thin little scrape from the car seat’s belt - I think the most aggravating thing for her was having to hang upside down in her seat until EMS arrived.
Although the car is TOTALLY destroyed, I wasn’t ticketed.

The rescue squad was incredible. The AMR staff wonderful. The ER Dr.s and Nurses exceptional. Even the officer that took the report was kind (and heck, have to like that he didn’t ticket me).

Please take a moment or two and express gratitude to God, in our behalf. We were un-naturally unharmed.
