Baby Hat

See, here’s the problem (for those remarkably few of you who actually read this blog)… I have lots of interests. Ignore those that don’t turn your crank. Oh, and by the way, no, we are not expecting a new one (before you ask!) It’s for a friend. The pattern is original (as if knitting in a circle is that original) but if you’d like it:
Needles: #2 (Can use 16″ round needles but will need Double Pointed to decrease)

Yarn: Sock Weight (This is Lion Brand’s Magic Stripes)

Cast on (in the round): 105 stitches

Knit in the round until it’s 4″ tall.

In next round knit together each 14th and 15th stitch (continue around the entire hat)

Knit.

In next round knit together each 13th and 14th stitch (continue around the entire hat)

Knit.

In next round knit together each 12th and 13th stitch (continue around the entire hat)

Knit.

In next round knit together each 11th and 12th stitch (continue around the entire hat)

Knit.

In next round knit together each 10th and 11th stitch (continue around the entire hat)

Knit.

In next round knit together each 9th and 10th stitch (continue around the entire hat)

Knit.

In next round knit together each 8th and 9th stitch (continue around the entire hat)

Knit.

(Switch to Double Pointed Needles here, if you’re not using them already)

In the next round Knit every 2 stitches together. Knit the round following Repeat the above line until there are six stitches remaining. Pull the tail through each of the remaining stitches; close; tie off.

It’s easy… give it a try :-)

Grace and Peace,

`tim
