Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi

It had to happen sooner or later and finally it did. I’ve had people throw their arms up in exasperation. I’ve had people honk their horns. Finally, on a ride with Matt this past Saturday we had a junk-heap-of-a-car with a handful of drunk idiots yell “get off the road!”

Sometimes you just have to laugh.

Sometimes I wish I had a jersey with a clerical collar on it — I wonder would people would think when they look in their rear view mirror and realize they’ve just cussed off a minister… he he he.

Oh, and for the record, there’s no possible way I’m making 1000 miles before Ragbrai this year. oh well.

I’ve uploaded the GPS files into Map my Ride (AWESOME Site even though it’s still in BETA - check it out. If you e-mail them say “hi” to Kevin for me!) Anyhow, I posted a link to the other maps I’ve put up there. But one of the neat options is the ability to imbed the map into your own site. I couldn’t get it to work last time I tried because the theme I was using wasn’t compatible. Maybe it’ll work this time! If it does, I’ll put them all up. (You can also see them at the Iowa Bicycle Coalition.)

Well, the results are up… Team Dunningwut? has made the cut!

Wristband numbers have been assigned and we’re going!

Now, to start doing some major training in the next 81 days… I’d like to get 1000 miles in before we go, that means I’ve got a whole lot of riding to do in the next couple of months!

Tomorrow’s the big day… In less than 24 hours we’ll know whether or not we’ve made “the cut.” I don’t know if I’m going to be able to sleep tonight….

I wonder if they’ll post just after midnight? I could stay up ’till 1:00 (MI time) for the results (Midnight, IA time)?!

Have I said anything about being excited?
